Our Mission

The Yarmouth Radio Club is an organization devoted to the exciting hobby of Amateur Radio as well as other activities popular with "Ham" Radio Operators, such as the Internet and Shortwave Listening.

The Club emphasizes the more technical aspects of the hobby than do most other clubs in Maine.  Historically, we've had outstanding seminars on antenna design and construction, fast-scan amateur television, packet radio, space communications, and the Internet as it relates to amateur radio.

When sufficient membership interest warrants, we hold Amateur Radio License Classes, conduct construction projects, run VE Exam Test Sessions, and participate in several operating events throughout the year.

The Club holds regular informal monthly meetings except during July, August, and September.

Upcoming Club Programs, Events, & Activities

The next Yarmouth Radio Club Informal Meeting is being held on Saturday, May 25th at 9:30 AM at the Yarmouth Community House, 179 East Main Street. Guests are welcome!

FCC EXAMS for all Commercial License Classes are being offered in Yarmouth on Saturday, May 11th at 10:30 AM. Pre-Registration for these Exams is REQUIRED prior to the Exam date (NO "drop-ins" allowed). Travel directions and other details will be provided by E-Mail shortly after Pre-Registration.
